The artwork is typically produced over dozens of iterations to drive things into unusual compositions or specific color schemes to really create an impact in a unique way.
Sometimes there is a hand-drawn element to start with or a photo I've taken as a kick-off point. Other times it's much like fingerpainting where I try to get very chaotic and random elements into images.
Some images I set out specifically for. Usually those end up on the shirts.
I love things like Poe and Lovecraft, Blade Runner and Tank Girl, 1984 and Calvin and Hobbes. I try to have some of these inspirations mixed in to each thing in some way.
